Mahindra’s latest special edition SUV, the BE 6 Batman Edition, has already captured massive attention, and the company has now decided to scale up production. Originally limited to just 300 units, Mahindra has confirmed that it will now manufacture 999 units of the Dark Knight-inspired EV to meet strong customer demand.
Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition: Key details
Launched at Rs 27.79 lakh, ex-showroom, the BE 6 Batman Edition is priced Rs 89,000 higher than the standard Pack Three variant, on which it is based. It gets the same 79 kWh battery pack paired to an electric motor delivering 286 hp and 380 Nm of torque. The e-SUV also boasts an ARAI-certified range of 682 km.
What sets this edition apart is Mahindra’s exclusive tie-up with Warner Bros., making it the first-ever collaboration between an automaker and the Batman franchise for a production vehicle. Bookings for the SUV open on August 23 for a token amount of Rs 21,000, with deliveries scheduled to begin on September 20, which also is the International Batman Day.
Mahindra's new design philosophy explained by Pratap Bose | TOI Auto
In terms of design, the BE 6 Batman Edition is a tribute to Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Trilogy. It gets a custom satin black paint scheme, Batman decals, and gloss-black cladding. Adding contrast are gold-painted suspension springs, brake calipers, and multiple Bat emblems across the body. The cabin follows the same dark theme, highlighted by gold stitching, Batman logos, a numbered plaque, and themed ambient lighting. Even the digital cluster and start-up sound are designed to echo the Dark Knight theme. To top it all off, the panoramic sunroof too features a massive batman logo.
