Kia India recently released a teaser on its official social media handles, hinting that it will display the EV9 concept in the country at the upcoming Auto Expo 2023 set to be held in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh next month. The EV9 had made its global debut at the 2021 Los Angeles Motor Show, but it's the first time the EV concept will debut in India.
The EV9 is basically a 7-seat electric SUV that could spawn a production ready car by the end of next year, however, Kia is yet to confirm it.
That said, the EV9 features a boxy design, with Kia's signature Tiger Nose grille up front, sleek LED headlamps, body cladding all around, vertical LED tail lights as well as skid plates on both ends. The e-SUV will be based on the same E-GMP platform as the Kia EV6, as well as the upcoming Hyundai IONIQ 5 - with the latter also expected to be launched at the Auto Expo next month.

Apart from the EV9 concept, Kia is also expected to showcase the new-gen Carnival in India, as well as the Seltos facelift. Talking about the fourth-gen Carnival that is already sold in foreign markets, it features tons of changes over the one sold in India. The updated MPV features an SUV-inspired design, with a flatter bonnet and a squared-off rear-end. The new-gen Carnival gets sharper-looking LED headlights with DRLs, a redesigned side profile, new alloy wheels, as well as new LED tail lights that are now connected together.
The India-spec Seltos is due for a facelift too, with the model already having made its debut overseas. Apart from the visual enhancements, the Seltos facelift is also expected to add in tons of new features, including a fully digital instrument cluster, as well as a panoramic sunroof. Kia could also offer ADAS (Advance Driver Assistance System) safety features with the new-gen Carnival and Seltos facelift in India.
