The automaker did not reveal pricing details. However, it emphasized the cars' suitability for colder climates, stating they can be charged in 30 minutes at -10 degrees Celsius (14°F) and retain 50% of their range even at -20 degrees Celsius.

The EH7 model boasts a range of up to 690 kilometers (429 miles) on a single charge and is capable of fully charging in 20 minutes.

Hongqi joins other Chinese brands like BYD, Geely, and SAIC in attempting to penetrate the European market.

The European Commission has announced provisional duties ranging from 17.4% to 37.6% on Chinese electric vehicle imports. This follows an investigation that concluded Chinese manufacturers have benefited from unfair subsidies.

Despite these new tariffs, Hongqi remains committed to its European expansion, highlighting the growing interest and competition in the electric vehicle market.
