Statiq, an electric vehicle charging network with over 400 operational EV charging points in Karnataka, has rolled out a free charging campaign in the region. The company says that as many users primarily rely on home charging and are hesitant to explore public charging options for long-distance travel, it seeks to encourage users to give it a try through this campaign.
As per the company, these installations are capable of charging various electric vehicles, including popular models such as Tata Nexon, MG ZS EV, Tata Tiago EV, and more.
How to use the free charging facilityTo charge your EV free of cost, users need to simply download the Statiq app, log in, add their vehicle, and start charging it. The company says that there are no hidden fees, it's absolutely free, and users can charge their cars any number of times.
All personal vehicles are allowed, excluding public transport like cabs, covering two-wheelers across fast and slow chargers on all public networks. The free charging is available on all chargers on the Statiq app, including Glida, Sunfuel, e-fill, and more.
Akshit Bansal, Founder & CEO of Statiq, said, "Through this campaign, we aim to raise awareness and encourage more people to choose the EV way, while also enhancing our visibility in the South market." Last year, Statiq introduced a new feature with real-time insights, simplifying the EV journey by consolidating crucial information within the Statiq app. It offers a host of features, including total kilometres travelled, remaining range updates and a charging indicator.
Statiq's presence, at present, includes over 7,000 deployed EV chargers across tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3 cities in India. The company says that it aims to scale up to 20,000 EV charging stations by the end of 2025.
