Triumph has officially announced that the TE-1 electric motorcycle is about to complete. The Triumph TE-1 prototype was recently tested by Brandon Paasch, Daytona 200 champion racer. For the TE-1, the British two-wheeler manufacturer has taken design inspiration from the Triumph Speed Triple motorcycle.

After four testing phases, the brand has revealed the performance figures of the TE-1 prototype. Weighing around 220 kg, the TE-1 generates a peak power of 175 bhp and a max torque of 109 Nm. The e bike is capable of doing 0-60 mph in just 3.6 seconds and 0-100 mph in 6.2 seconds. Offering a claimed range of 161 km/100 mile, the motorcycle's battery can be charged from 0-80% in 20 minutes only. Charging technology and battery has been co-developed by Triumph and Williams Advanced Engineering (WAE).

The rear profile of the TE-1 is flanked by an LED tail-lamp. The digital instrument cluster reveals all the required information for the rider. At the front and rear, suspension duties are taken care by Öhlins USD cartridge forks.

Triumph has yet not revealed all the information about the technology features of the TE-1 electric motorcycle. Moreover, the brand is yet to confirm when its electric motorcycle will go in the production phase.
