Simple Energy has finally launched the Simple One electric scooter at a starting price of Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). The Super EV- Simple One will be available at a price of Rs 1.58 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru, including a price of 750W charger). The company has already received over 1 lakh pre-bookings, in 18 months. Deliveries will start from June 6, 2023, in a phased manner, starting with Bangalore. Simple Energy claims that the Simple ONE electric scooter is 95% localised.

Simple One: Colour options
The Simple One electric scooter will be available in six colour options, including Brazen Black, Namma Red, Azure Blue, Grace White, Brazen X, and Light X.

Simple One: Features
As far as the features are concerned, the Simple One gets a 7-inch digital display running Android OS with turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, battery and range details, call alerts and OTA updates.

Powering the Simple One electric scooter is an IP-67 rated 5 kWh Lithium-ion portable dual battery pack that will offer an IDC-claimed range of 212 km with 6% SOC left. It is the highest range for any electric scooter in India, says Suhas Rajkumar, Founder & CEO of Simple Energy.

The e-scooter is equipped with an 8.5 kW electric motor, churning out a max torque of 72 Nm. It can sprint from 0-40 kmph in just 2.77 seconds. The Simple One battery gets fast charging, adding a 1.5 km range per minute. At home, the battery can be charged from 0-80 percent in 5 hours 54 minutes.


Simple One: Rivals
The Simple Energy e-scooter will rival against the likes of the Ather 450, Ola S1, TVS iQube in the Indian market.

In the beginning of this year, Simple Energy inaugurated its new manufacturing plant, Simple Vision 1.0 in Shoolagiri, Tamil Nadu. The plant has an annual capacity of approximately 5 lakh units. With more products in the pipeline, Simple Energy aims to be at the forefront of the ongoing global transition to green mobility.
