Ola Electric recently announced MoveOS 4 for the S1 electric scooters in the Indian market. This update will bring in 20+ new features and over 100 enhancements to existing features, says the EV manufacturer. The Beta update will be available from September 2023, followed by a public rollout around October 2023. Here are the features which will be offered in the Ola MoveOS 4 -

Ola Maps
The MoveOS 4 will come equipped with Ola Maps, developed by the manufacturer itself. As of now, the Ola S1 electric scooters support ‘MapMyIndia’ software.

Concert Mode
Another new feature addition is ‘Concert Mode’ which will enable riders to pair multiple Ola S1 electric scooters and sync their lights with the music played.

The MoveOS 4 will also offer features, such as Hill Descent, Find My Scooter, Location push, HC Routing, Megaphone, customizable motor sounds, theft/two/fall detection, auto turn-off indicators, geo and time fencing, take-me-home lights, call filter, biometric unlock and ride and energy stats. Furthermore, the electric scooters will get a dark mode, scooter locator and widgets.

The company confirmed that the Ola Gigafactory will be operational by early 2024 with an initial capacity of 5 GWh. Alongside, the Bengaluru-based EV manufacturer launched the new Ola S1 X and S1 X+ electric scooters at a price of Rs 79,999 and Rs 99,999 (both prices, ex-showroom) in the Indian market.

The brand also showcased its four concept electric motorcycles, Diamondhead, Roadster, Adventure and Cruiser, expected to launch by the end of 2024. For more details, click here!
