The company recently opened its first experience centre in HSR Layout, Bangalore, and plans to meet the 21,000 pre-bookings by scaling up the manufacturing capacity.
The EV startup says that the Oben Rorr electric motorcycle meets the latest Indian government regulations and safety standards for electric vehicles and batteries (AIS 156 amendment III phase II).

Oben Electric is now focusing on the development and testing of a prototype for their second product that will be launch in 2024. Furthermore, the company is also focusing on advanced battery technology to enhance performance, range and lifespan, and further reduce the charging time.
In other news, the company recently raised Rs 40 crore in an extended pre-series A round to increase the production capacity to 100,000 units per annum at their manufacturing facility in Bengaluru and meet the working capital requirements for distribution expansion.
