Oben Rorr electric motorcycle deliveries start in Bengaluru

EV startup Oben Electric recently announced that it has delivered the first 25 units of its Oben Rorr electric motorcycle in Bengaluru. The company handed over the Oben Rorr electric motorcycles at its manufacturing facility in Jigani, Bangalore. Additionally, Oben Electric also offered its merchandise to the first 25 customers at the F2R (First to Rorr) event.

Powering the Oben Rorr is a 4.4 kWh battery, offering an IDC-certified range of 187 km. It also uses an 8 kW electric motor, which helps it to achieve 0-40 kmph in 3 seconds. The electric motorcycle has a top speed of 100 kmph. Further, the electric two-wheeler manufacturer is offering a 50,000 km/3-year warranty extendable to 5 years or 75,000 km, a 3-year motor warranty, 3 free services, and free roadside assistance.

The Oben Rorr electric motorcycle retails at a starting price of Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). With 21,000 preorders, the EV startup is working to expand its manufacturing capacity and open showrooms and service centres across the country, said the company. Further, it stated, the company is set to double the team size in the coming months.
