Ather Energy is all set to launch the new 450X electric scooter on July 19 in the Indian market. The brand has recently shared a few posts on its social media handles, regarding the launch of its next-gen Ather 450X e-scooter.
The Ather 450X is counted among the most-selling electric scooters in India, owing to higher range and large battery capacity. Now the company will introduce the third-gen 450X in the Indian market.
The two-wheeler manufacturer has not revealed any details about the upcoming scooter, however the homologation document that surfaced online unveiled some information. According to the document, the next-gen 450X e-scooter will make use of 3.66 kWh and it will offer a certified range of 116 km-146 km. So the new Ather 450X has a real-world range of over 100 km compared to 85 km offered by the current model.
The kerb weight of the e-scooter will be slightly more, owing to the large battery pack it supports. Moreover, the next-gen Ather 450X is likely to get a powerful motor. In terms of specifications, the upcoming Ather 450X will churn out a max power of 8.5 hp, while the base variant will generate 7.7 hp of power.
We expect the updated Ather 450X to be a bit costlier, owing to the new motor and battery pack changes. The third-gen Ather 450X price is expected to be around Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom) compared to Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom) of the current model.
