It is interesting to note that the company’s cumulative sales have doubled inside the first quarter of the financial year 2024, as per the company’s claims.

In May 2023, the company registered sales of 9,618 units. At present, the manufacturer’s product portfolio includes the Zeal, Magnus, and Primus electric scooters. As per the company, the growth can be attributed to the company’s retail network spanning from Tier 1 markets to Tier 4 markets across the country.

Sanjay Behl, CEO & Executive Director, GEMPL said, "Greaves Electric Mobility will introduce several exciting retail and finance schemes to commemorate this significant milestone in our quest to "Make Har Gully Electric" in India.”

As Ampere moves forward, the EV manufacturer said that it remains committed to investing in research and development to strengthen its product lineup further and broaden its market reach.

Last month, the company’s sales, like all other electric two wheeler manufacturers, witnessed a significant drop owing to the reduction in the FAME II subsidies announced by the Ministry of Heavy Industries. The revised subsidies came into effect on June 1, 2023, after which the company announced a significant price hike across its product range. Ampere sold 3,038 units in June.
