Tresa Motors has unveiled its first electric truck, the Model V0.1, built on its Axial Flux Motor Platform FLUX350. The company says that the truck is built for the global market, and showcases its take on the industrial design, the axial flux powertrain and safe battery packs for the medium and heavy electric trucks.
Talking about the design of the Tresa Motors' Model V0.1, it seems to have taken inspiration from the Tesla Cybertruck. The electric truck is unlike anything that is currently offered in India, however, the styling is expected to be toned down as it enters production. The edgy design is complimented by a matte black paint scheme, slim ORVMs and large vertically stacked LED headlamps.
As per Tresa Motors' estimates, India has a fleet of 2.8 million trucks, contributing to 60% of emissions, highlighting the urgent needs for zero emissions medium and heavy trucks. With the upcoming vehicle scrappage policy in 2024 and increasing fuel prices, the time seems just about right to transition to medium and heavy electric trucks.

The Axial Flux Motor technology (FLUX350) used in the electric truck delivers up to 476 PS of continuous power. Tresa Motors says that Axial Flux motors are renowned for their compact size and light-weight nature. The technology is claimed to be entirely developed in India. Tresa Motors has confirmed that it will be launching the Model V0.1 electric truck in the second quarter of FY2023.
