Tata Curvv pulls three trucks: All you need to know

The video, titled Act 1, was shot at Tata Motors' test facility. The footage captures the Curvv effortlessly towing the massive weight. Under the hood, the Curvv featured in the stunt is powered by Tata’s 1.2-litre turbocharged Hyperion petrol engine, producing 123 bhp and 225 Nm of peak torque. The showcased variant comes equipped with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

This isn’t the first time Tata Motors has pulled off such an extraordinary feat. In the past, the Tata Hexa, with its ladder-frame chassis and a 2.2-litre diesel engine, successfully towed a Boeing 737-800 airplane.

Launched in 2024, the Tata Curvv has quickly become a frequent sighting on the Indian roads. The SUV is priced from Rs 10 lakh and goes up to Rs 19.20 lakh, ex-showroom. The SUV is offered with multiple engine options, including a 1.2L turbo-petrol, a more powerful 1.2L Hyperion turbo-petrol, and a 1.5L turbo-diesel. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. The model is available in several avatars including, petrol, diesel and electric. It competes against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Hyundai Creta among others.
