Volkswagen India has introduced two new trims of its Virtus sedan – the GT Line and GT Plus Sport. Priced at Rs 14.07 lakh and Rs 17.84 lakh, ex-showroom, these new models bring sportier aesthetics and upgraded features to the lineup. Here, let’s take a look at what’s new.
Volkswagen Virtus GT Line: What’s new
The Virtus GT Line is powered by a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, available with either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. It boasts features like a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, electric sunroof, and rain-sensing wipers. On the exterior, it features smoked LED headlamps, a blackened front grille, and 16-inch black alloy wheels, giving it a bold look.
Inside, the cabin boasts black-themed interiors with a glossy black dashboard, red ambient lighting, black leatherette seats with gray stitching, and aluminium pedals.
Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus: What’s new
The more premium Virtus GT Plus Sport comes equipped with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. This variant adds an aero kit, a black interior with red stitching, red ambient lighting, and aluminium pedals. The GT Plus Sport also features additional luxuries such as ventilated front seats, electric adjustments for both driver and co-driver, and an amplifier with subwoofer for enhanced audio quality.
Both variants come with a comprehensive safety package, including six airbags, ESC, ABS with EBD, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
