Vinfast India recently launched the new Vinfast VF6 EV in the Indian market. The VinFast VF6 is being locally assembled at the company’s new facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. The bookings are already underway, interested customers can book the EV online or by visiting their nearest Vinfast dealership. The booking amount is set at Rs 21,000 and the deliveries are expected to begin soon. The VF6 is offered in three variants - Earth, Wind and Wind Infinity priced at Rs 16.49 lakh, Rs 17.79 lakh and Rs 18.29 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, respectively). Vinfast VF6 Earth Price: 16.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The Earth is the entry-level variant of the VF6 and gets features such as automatic LED projector headlights with auto levelling and LED daytime running lights, acoustic windshield with a glass roof, auto-tilting ORVMs, a 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, an electrically adjustable driver seat, automatic climate control, all windows with auto up/down and anti-pinch, an auto-dimming IRVM, a 6-speaker sound system, connected car technology, multiple drive and regeneration modes, cruise control, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, rain-sensing wipers, seven airbags, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera, brake assist, traction control, front and rear disc brakes, electronic stability control, hill start assist, roll-over mitigation, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
Vinfast VF6 Wind Price: 17.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Next comes in mid-spec Wind variant which gets features such as 18-inch alloy wheels, mocha brown interiors finished in vegan leather upholstery, an eight-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, a heads-up display, an eight-speaker sound system, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, a cabin air filter, adaptive cruise control and Level 2 ADAS.
Vinfast VF6 Infinity Price: 18.29 lakh (ex-showroom). Next is the top-spec Infinity trim which gets all the features mentioned above. Additionally, it has only a panoramic sunroof. All three variants are powered by a 59.6kWh battery paired with a front-mounted motor, producing 204hp and 310Nm. On the WLTP cycle, it offers a driving range of up to 480km and can accelerate from 0-100kph in 8.89 seconds, as per VinFast. Charging options include compatibility with 3.3kW and 7.2kW AC units, along with support for DC fast charging.
In terms of design, it features a closed-off grille, vertically stacked triangular projector headlights with LED DRLs that curve downward on both sides and body cladding throughout. Other design highlights include flush-mounted roof rails, a shark-fin antenna, an integrated rear spoiler, wraparound LED taillights connected by an LED light bar, and a rear skid plate for added flair. The VF6 is offered in six exterior colour options - Crimson red, Infinity Blanc, Jet black, Desat silver, Zenith grey and Urban mint.
