Toyota Rumion gets more affordable with new variant: Price, features
Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched a new affordable variant for the Toyota Rumion MPV. The new variant, called E, is priced at Rs 9.56 lakh (ex-showroom), making the MPV Rs 95,000 more affordable. The MPV is now available in four variants - E, S, G and V. Interested customers can book this new variant online or by visiting their nearest dealership.
Features-wise, the MPV gets halogen projector headlamps, LED tail lights, 15-inch steel wheel covers, dual-tone interior, all four power windows, tilt-adjustable steering, six airbags, powered outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), manually adjustable inside rearview mirror (IRVM), basic entertainment system with Bluetooth, FM and USB, speakers, height-adjustable front seat belts, ABS with EBD, ESP, and hill hold assist. It’s offered in five colour options - Spunky Blue, Rustic Brown, Enticing Silver, Cafe White and Iconic Grey.
Talking about the powertrain, the Rumion is powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, NA petrol engine with 103 hp power and 139 nm torque. Gearbox options include a 5-speed manual. This entry-level trim misses out on an automatic gearbox and CNG power.
The Toyota Rumion is essentially a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, with a few differences. The MPV gets a different front grille with a new bumper. The front grille looks similar to the one on the Innova Crysta, and the lower bumper is redesigned with a new fog lamp housing and a chrome strip around the radiator grille. On the side, the MPV remains unchanged, but it gets differently designed dual-tone alloy wheels. At the rear, there are no changes made to the car except for the replacement of the logo. The MPV gets the same bumper design. Moving on to the inside, the MPV gets the same dashboard layout as the Ertiga, except for badging. The seating layout too is the same, with a similar colour scheme.
