Tata Motors launches Xpres sedan in CNG, Petrol for fleet: Price, details
Tata Motors has expanded its fleet-only lineup with the launch of the XPRES sedan in Petrol and CNG versions. Earlier, this Tigor-based fleet-only sedan was available only in its electric avatar. Bookings for the new Tata XPRES Petrol and CNG are now open across authorised fleet dealerships. Prices start at Rs 5.59 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs 6.59 lakh for the CNG version, both ex-showroom.
The Xpres Petrol and CNG are powered by Tata Motors’ familiar 1.2-litre Revotron engine, paired with a manual transmission. In petrol form, the engine produces 86 hp and 113 Nm of torque, while the CNG version delivers 75.5 hp and 95 Nm.
On the safety front, the XPRES comes equipped with dual front airbags for protection during frontal impacts. The CNG variant also gets a leak detection system that automatically switches the car from CNG to petrol mode in the event of a gas leak. Convenience features include rear parking sensors and a reverse parking camera. Fog lamps have also been added.
One of the standout features of the Xpres CNG is its first-in-segment twin-cylinder CNG tank. Tata Motors claims this setup helps retain a usable boot space of 227 litres, addressing a common concern among sedan-based taxi operators. With the launch of the XPRES in Petrol and CNG, Tata Motors now offers fleet buyers electric, petrol and CNG powertrain options under the Xpres nameplate.
