These additions are now available across multiple body styles, including hatchbacks and compact SUVs, without a significant increase in cost. For buyers dealing with heat and long commutes, ventilated seats offer added convenience. In this article, let’s take a look at cars under Rs 12 lakh in India that come equipped with ventilated seats.
First SUV on the list is the Renault Kiger, which gets ventilated seats in top-spec emotion trim priced from Rs 8.4 lakh (ex-showroom). Feature highlights include 16-inch alloy wheels with red brake callipers, LED fog lamps, automatic headlamps, an 8.0-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7.0-inch configurable digital instrument cluster, a 6-speaker Arkamys sound system, drive modes, cruise control, a wireless charger, a rear defogger, a cooled glove box, ambient interior lighting, remote engine start (turbo variant), ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, rain-sensing wipers and more. Engine options include a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, NA petrol and a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo petrol.
The second SUV in the list is the Kia Sonet, which gets ventilated seats from the HTX trim, priced from Rs 11.65 lakh (ex-showroom). Feature highlights include LED DRLs, foglamps and taillamps, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, front parking sensors, automatic climate control, an electric sunroof and more. It gets three engine options - a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine and a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine.
Next is the Skoda Kylaq which gets ventilated seats in top-spec prestige trim priced at Rs 11.75 lakh (ex-showroom). Other features include 17-inch alloy wheels, electric sunroof, powered front seats, a 10-inch touchscreen, auto AC, cruise control and more. The Kylaq is powered by a single 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo petrol engine with 115 hp of power and 178 nm of torque.
Next is the Hyundai Venue which gets ventilated seats from the HX8 trim priced from Rs 11.9 lakh (ex-showroom). Features highlights include a 4-way powered driver’s seat, electronic parking brake with auto hold, automatic headlights, automatic climate control, a wireless charging pad, connected car tech, over-the-air (OTA) vehicle updates, an electric sunroof, a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and more. It gets three engine options - a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine and a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine.
Next is the Kia Syros which not only gets front, but also rear ventilation. The front ventilated seats are available from the HTX trim priced from Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). However, the rear ventilation is offered only in the top spec HTX Plus (O) variant. It gets two engine options - a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo-petrol which puts out 120hp of power and 172Nm torque. It comes paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT. Another engine is a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo diesel with 115hp of power and 250Nm torque.
Next on the list is the Tata Nexon priced a little over Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). The ventilated seats are available from the Fearless Plus PS trim. Engine options include a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine. This trim is also offered with a CNG option, making it the most affordable model in its segment to feature ventilated seats.
