Nissan Magnite Facelift: What to expect

As seen in the teaser, the automaker has hinted at cosmetic updates for the Magnite. The teasers reveal new dual-tone machine-cut alloy wheels and a refreshed front fascia featuring a hexagonal pattern. It also shows a refreshed tail light that resembles the unit from the outgoing model but comes with noticeable changes to internal elements.

In terms of interiors, it’s anticipated that Nissan could include a larger touchscreen infotainment system, an electric sunroof, and updated seat upholstery. Meanwhile, other key features including wireless charging, ambient lighting, distal instrument cluster, including the dashboard layout are likely to remain unchanged.

Under the hood, the Magnite facelift is expected to retain its current engine lineup. This includes the 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine and a more powerful 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit. The former will continue to be offered with a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox, while the turbocharged version will be paired with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT transmission.

In terms of competition, the Magnite facelift will go head-to-head with models like the Renault Kiger, Maruti Fronx, and Tata Punch in the compact SUV segment. Nissan’s roadmap, revealed earlier this year during the X-Trail unveiling, emphasized their focus on launching multiple new SUVs in India, with the Magnite facelift being one of the key releases for 2024.
