Ford recently released a teaser video of its seventh-gen Mustang on its social media handles. The teaser video shows the Mustang logo with V8 rumbling. We can hear the V8 accelerating away with a quick upshift and a tyre squeal in the video.
Next-gen Ford Mustang: Exterior and interior Spotted doing the rounds, the next-gen Ford Mustang spy shots suggest that the design remains the same as of its predecessor. Codenamed S650, the upcoming Mustang will come equipped with a headlight layout along with tri-bar LED setup and Mustang badging on the front grille that gets large air intakes.
According to the leaked images, the next-gen Ford Mustang might receive a 13.2-inch infotainment display with controls in the centre console and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
New Ford Mustang: PowertrainThe upcoming Ford Mustang might get two hybrid powertrains that will be powered by a 2.3-litre EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine and a 5.0-litre Coyote V8 engine. Power and torque figures are yet to be revealed, however the outgoing V8 variant produces 450 hp power and 556 Nm torque.
The new-gen Ford Mustang will likely retain the same 6-speed manual and 10-speed automatic transmission unit.
More details on the next-gen Ford Mustang will be out on September 14 at the 2022 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
