MG Majestor teased again: Key details about new Fortuner rival
MG Motor India has once again teased its upcoming flagship SUV, the Majestor. The model will be officially unveiled on February 12, 2026. First showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo, the Majestor is expected to sit at the top of MG’s India line-up and take on rivals such as the Toyota Fortuner Legender.
While the earlier teaser only gave us a glimpse at the Majestor’s front and side design, the new video also brings the SUV’s rear into view. MG claims the Majestor will be its longest, widest and tallest SUV yet, effectively placing it in a new D+ segment. As seen in the teasers so far, the model gets a bold front fascia with a large Matrix-style grille, Falcon-inspired LED DRLs and split headlamps. On the sides, it features 19-inch alloy wheels and flared wheel arches, while the rear features a full-width LED light bar that runs across the tailgate. The tail lamp cluster gets pixel-style detailing inside. Other details include bold 'Majestor' badging on the tailgate and a chunky lower bumper with a silver skid plate.
While MG has not yet shared official images of the cabin, the Majestor is expected to come loaded with features. Based on expectations, it is likely to get dual-tone upholstery, a fully digital instrument cluster and a large, free-standing infotainment touchscreen. Other likely additions may include a wireless charging pad, panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS, three-zone automatic climate control, and powered front seats with ventilation and heating. Full LED lighting is also expected to be standard.
In terms of pricing, the MG Majestor is expected to start at around Rs 40 lakh, ex-showroom, placing it firmly in premium SUV territory.
