Maruti Suzuki has upgraded the safety package on its MPV, the XL6, by making six airbags standard across all variants. This update follows closely on the heels of a similar move for the Ertiga, its popular model from the Arena range.
With the addition of side and curtain airbags becoming a baseline feature, Maruti has revised the prices of the XL6 by up to 0.8 percent. Although the company hasn’t disclosed the variant-wise new prices, this translates to an increase of approximately Rs 9,500 to Rs 12,000 depending on the variant. Before the update, the XL6 was priced between Rs 11.83 lakh and Rs 14.83 lakh, ex-showroom.
