Facelift Brezza was introduced earlier in February at the Auto Expo, and is priced Rs 7.34 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards. Maruti Suzuki phased out the diesel avatar and roped in the 1.5-litre K-series, petrol engine for Brezza.

Confirming the update,

Shashank Srivastava

, Executive Director, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India, said, “Brezza has started strongly. Due to Covid, buyers are less experimentative and are shifting towards established brands. In times of stress, functional buying will increase at the cost of replacement.”

Brezza, a popular sub-compact SUV, broke into the scene in 2016. Over the years, Brezza has gained immense popularity with over five lakh units sold.

Maruti Suzuki is also optimistic of CNG vehicles performing well amid the ongoing fuel price hike. “The cost of running, maintenance and price gap between diesel and petrol may prompt buyers to choose CNG vehicles, which are economical,” Srivastava added. With the recently launched S-Presso CNG, Maruti Suzuki has eight models in the market and will bring in three more shortly.
