Maruti Dzire gets first price hike: Here’s how much more you’ll pay
Maruti Suzuki has hiked the prices of the latest-generation Dzire for the first time since its launch in November last year. Depending on the variant, the price increase ranges up to Rs 10,000. Following the revision, the popular subcompact sedan is now priced between Rs 6.84 lakh and Rs 10.19 lakh, ex-showroom.
The price hike applies to select variants, with the VXi AMT and ZXi AMT seeing the highest increase of Rs 10,000. Other trims, including the LXi MT, VXi MT, VXi CNG, ZXi CNG, and ZXi+ AMT, have received a smaller hike of Rs 5,000. However, the ZXi+ MT variant remains unaffected by the price adjustment.
The new-gen Dzire sports a refreshed look, moving away from its previous Swift-inspired design. The new Dzire earned a 5-star Global NCAP safety rating. It comes equipped with six airbags as standard, along with Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill-Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
Under the hood, the 2024 Dzire is powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z-series petrol engine, producing 82 hp and 112 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a five-speed manual and a five-speed AMT. The sedan also boasts impressive fuel efficiency, with a claimed mileage of 24.79 kmpl for the manual variant and 25.71 kmpl for the AMT version.
