Mahindra XUV 7XO, XEV 9S record 90,000 bookings valued at RS 20,500 Crore: Details
Mahindra and Mahindra has announced that it has received over 90,000 combined bookings for its newly launched XUV 7XO and XEV 9S, with a total booking value of Rs 20,500 crore (calculated at ex-showroom prices) as of 2:00 pm on January 14, 2026. Interested customers can book either SUV online or at authorised Mahindra dealerships, with the booking amount set at Rs 21,000. Deliveries of the XUV 7XO have commenced from today, January 14, 2026, while deliveries of the XEV 9E are scheduled to begin from January 26, 2026.
Talking about the XEV 9S, it’s offered with three battery options across four trims - Pack One Above, Pack Two Above, Pack Three and Pack Three Above. Mahindra has also added a third battery choice to the XEV 9S lineup in the form of a 70kWh pack paired with a 245hp rear-mounted motor. This setup delivers an ARAI-certified range of up to 600km, but it’s exclusive to the mid-range Pack Two Above variant. The base Pack One Above continues with the 59kWh unit, while the larger 79kWh battery is offered across the entire range.
Features-wise, the 9S gets triple 12.3-inch displays - a central touchscreen, a fully digital instrument cluster and a dedicated screen for the front passenger, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, multi colour ambient lighting, 6-way powered for both front seats, dual wireless charging pads, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, augmented reality head-up display, a large panoramic sunroof, in-car camera, 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos, front and rear seat ventilation, a 540-degree camera and more. Rear occupants are well catered to too; it gets a BYOD mount for tablets, along with two high-output 65W Type-C ports, even a separate wireless charging pad and outer seats get ventilation too. The only real omission in this otherwise feature-rich package is the absence of a powered tailgate.

Features-wise, the XUV 7XO gets a triple screen setup, 6-way powered front seats, front and rear ventilated seats, multi-colour ambient lighting, two wireless chargers, panoramic sunroof, Boss Mode for the front passenger seat, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos, dual-zone climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety-wise, it gets Level 2 ADAS, a 540-degree camera, ESC, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, ISOFIX seat, TPMS, front and rear sensors, hill descent control, hill hold assist, auto-dimming IRVM and more.
Mechanically, the SUV remains the same with the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre mHawk diesel. Gearbox options will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque-converter automatic; the diesel is also offered with AWD.
