Mahindra SUVs to get expensive from this date: Here’s by how much
Mahindra and Mahindra has announced that it will increase prices of its SUVs and commercial vehicles from April 6, 2026. The move will increase by up to 2.5 per cent on select models, while the overall average hike across the portfolio stands at around 1.6 per cent.
The carmaker has attributed its latest price revision to rising input costs and higher operating expenses, stating that the increase is necessary despite having partially absorbed the impact. The revised pricing will apply across a significant portion of its portfolio, including internal combustion engine (ICE) SUVs and commercial vehicles. The newly launched Mahindra XUV7XO will remain exempt from the price increase for now, with the first 40,000 bookings protected, and revised prices to apply only after these deliveries are completed.
Customers are advised to contact authorised dealerships to check availability, waiting periods and billing timelines, and to confirm whether new bookings will be billed at existing or revised rates. With waiting periods for some models running into months, clarity on price protection at the time of booking remains important.
Talking about the newly launched Mahindra XUV 7XO, it’s priced from Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The new XUV 7XO is essentially the facelifted XUV 700 and the brand’s next combustion-engine model to adopt the updated naming convention, following the XUV 3XO, which transformed the XUV 300 through a significant redesign.
Features include a triple-screen setup, 6-way powered front seats, front- and rear-ventilated seats, multi-colour ambient lighting, two wireless chargers, a panoramic sunroof, Boss Mode for the front passenger seat, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos, dual-zone climate control, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety-wise, it gets Level 2 ADAS, a 540-degree camera, ESC, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, ISOFIX seat, TPMS, front and rear sensors, hill descent control, hill hold assist, auto-dimming IRVM and more. Mechanically, the SUV remains the same with the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre mHawk diesel. Gearbox options will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque-converter automatic, the diesel is also offered with AWD.
