Lamborghini crash Kanpur: All you need to know about this Rs 10 Cr supercar
A Lamborghini Revuelto has been seized by police following a crash in Kanpur, with the matter currently under investigation. While details related to the incident are still being looked, the car involved has drawn attention for a different reason altogether. The Revuelto is one of the most exclusive supercars ever sold by Lamborghini, and only a handful exist on Indian roads. Here’s a closer look at what makes this Rs 10 crore supercar so rare.
The Lamborghini Revuelto made its global debut in March 2023 and was officially launched in India in December 2023. At launch, it was priced at Rs 8.89 crore, ex-showroom, before optional extras. Despite the high price tag, the model was allocated only a limited number of units for India, making it extremely rare. Lamborghini had confirmed at the launch itself that the Revuelto is sold out globally until 2026, and no new orders are being accepted.
The model replaced the Aventador as Lamborghini’s flagship model. Under the skin, the Revuelto uses a NA 6.5-litre V12 engine, which Lamborghini claims is the lightest V12 it has ever produced. This engine alone produces 825 hp and 725 Nm of torque. To improve efficiency and performance, it is paired with a plug-in hybrid system that includes a 3.8 kWh lithium-ion battery.
The hybrid setup includes three electric motors, two mounted on the front axle and one positioned above the gearbox. Together with the V12 engine, the total system output stands at a massive 1,015 hp and 807 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels, depending on the selected drive mode. This allows the Revuelto to sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.5 seconds, while top speed is claimed to be over 350 kmph. The drivetrain is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Inside, the Revuelto’s features a carbon-fibre theme running through the centre console. The car gets an 8.4-inch vertically mounted touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 9.1-inch display for the passenger.
