The Regera has went on to set a new 0-400-0 kmph world record for homologated production cars, doing the dash in just 28.81 seconds. The Rimac Nevera, on the other hand, had completed the feat in 29.93 seconds, beating the previous record of Koenigsegg Regera by 1.5 seconds. Now, Regera has retaken the record from the Nevera, beating it by over one second.

But how exactly did Koenigsegg Regera beat its own record as well as that of the Rimac Nevera? The company claims that it was possible thanks to new Michel Cup2R tyres as well as a smoother track compared to previous record runs. Apart from the 0-400-0 kmph record, the Koenigsegg Regera has also set a few other records, take a look at them below -

  • 0-400-0 kmph - 28.81 seconds
  • 0-400 kmph - 20.68 seconds
  • 400-0 kmph - 8.13 seconds
  • 0-250-0 mph - 29.60 seconds
  • 0-250 mph - 21.35 seconds
  • 250-0 mph - 8.25 seconds

The data was measured and verified by RaceLogic.

The Regera is equipped with a 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that works along with three electric motors to put out a combined 1,500 hp power and 1,280 Nm torque. The PHEV hypercar gets 'Koenigsegg Direct-Drive System' (KDD), which is essentially a single-speed fixed-gear transmission. Only 80 units of the Regera were built for the entire world from 2016 to 2022.
