The teaser reveals Sonet's new boomerang-shaped headlamp clusters with an L-shaped pattern for the DRLs. New LED fog lamps seem to be placed on the lower portion of the front bumper. Moreover, the teaser also reveals the Sonet facelift's new alloy wheel design. The signature tiger nose grille is also slightly wider, and edgier than before.

The Kia Sonet facelift's design was also recently leaked in China, revealing the updated rear-end styling. The prototype featured new vertical tail lamps connected together with an LED strip running across the width of the tailgate. The design seemed to have been inspired by the Seltos facelift launched in India earlier this year, however, unlike the elder sibling, the Kia emblem on the upcoming Sonet facelift was placed under the tail light and not integrated into it. It is yet to be seen if the India-spec Sonet facelift will get the same rear design as the prototype seen in China.

Other features that have been teased include the updated 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Bose premium audio system. That said, we expect the new Kia Sonet to be offered with the same powertrains as the existing model, including a 1.2-litre four-cylinder NA petrol motor making 82 hp power; a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine generating 118 hp power and a 1.5-litre diesel unit churning out 113 hp.
