Hyundai Exter waiting period details: Know which variants in high demand
The Hyundai Exter has been introduced in the Indian market at an introductory price of Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom) on July 10, 2023. Rivalling the likes of the Tata Punch and Maruti Suzuki Fronx, the Hyundai Exter micro SUV is available in seven variants - EX, EX(O), S, S(O), SX, SX(O), and SX(O) Connect. As confirmed with our dealer sources, the Hyundai Exter has received an overwhelming response and now commands a waiting period of up to 32 weeks in India.
Hyundai Exter: Which variants in high demand?
The company claims that over 75% of the owners opted for a sunroof, which is available in three variants of the Exter micro SUV. The single-pan sunroof is available in a second-to-base SX variant, priced from Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom). The sunroof feature is also offered in SX(O) and SX(O) Connect variants, which are priced from Rs 8.64 lakh and Rs 9.32 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.
Hyundai Exter: Engine
Under the hood, the Hyundai Exter is powered by a 1.2-litre Kappa petrol and a 1.2-litre petrol-CNG engine. The former produces a peak power of 81 hp and a max torque of 114 Nm, while the latter generates a max power of 67 hp and a torque of 95 Nm. Both engines are paired with a five-speed manual transmission, however, the petrol engine is also offered with an AMT unit.
