Hyundai Creta Summer edition launched at 12.05 lakh: Here’s what’s special
Hyundai Motor India today announced the launch of the new Hyundai Creta Summer edition. The Summer edition variants introduce additional features to specific midsize SUV variants, extending premium equipment to lower- and mid-level trims. The Creta Summer Edition is offered in six variants and is priced between Rs 12.05 lakh and Rs 17.88 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s available with the 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines, while the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol is not offered with this version. Interested customers can book the SUV online or by visiting their nearest Hyundai dealer. Deliveries are expected to begin soon.
The EX Summer Edition now includes a smart key and push-button start. The EX(O) Summer Edition adds exterior and convenience features such as quad-beam LED headlamps, LED tail lamps, horizon LED positioning lamps with DRLs, LED turn indicators, a rear window sunshade, dual-tone 16-inch steel wheels and a rear camera with dynamic guidelines, along with the smart key and push-button start.
The S(O) Summer Edition and S(O) Knight Summer Edition are equipped with a dashcam. The SX Summer Edition also gets a dashcam, along with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The SX Premium Summer Edition includes the 10.25-inch digital cluster, surround view monitor, blind-spot view monitor and front parking sensors to improve visibility and ease of manoeuvring.
The dashcam supports multiple functions, including continuous recording, emergency and event recording, vacation mode, on-demand video and photo capture. It also allows video downloads to mobile devices through a dedicated app. Hyundai said the update is aimed at improving feature availability across variants, reflecting demand for added safety and convenience features in the segment.
As mentioned before, the Creta Summer edition is offered in two engine options - a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, NA petrol engine which puts out 115 hp of power and 143 nm torque. Another engine is a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbo diesel with 118 hp power and 260 nm torque.
Commenting on the launch of Summer Edition variants of the Hyundai CRETA, Mr. Sunil Moolchandani, National Sales Head, Hyundai Motor India Limited, said, “The Hyundai CRETA is not just a product, it is a legacy that has played a defining role in shaping the SUV market in India. With more than 1.4 million customers and annual sales exceeding 2 lakh units in FY 2025-26, Hyundai CRETA continues to reinforce its position as the undisputed No.1 in the mid-size SUV segment since its launch in 2015. The introduction of the CRETA Summer Edition variants reflects our commitment to making advanced technology and comfort more accessible, with features such as the 26.03 cm (10.25”) Multi Display Digital Cluster, Surround View Monitor (SVM) and Dashcam among others, further enhancing safety, convenience and driving confidence. These meaningful upgrades will continue to strengthen CRETA’s leadership and emotional connect with customers across the country.”
