Hyundai Creta gets revised variant lineup: Here’s whats changed
Hyundai Motor India has revised the variant lineup of the Hyundai Creta for the 2026 model year, discontinuing the SX Tech and SX(O) trims. Following the update, the SUV is now available in seven variants - E, EX, EX(O), S(O), SX, SX Premium and the range-topping King trim. The update does not include any major design or mechanical changes, but it appears to be part of Hyundai’s effort to simplify the Creta lineup and streamline variant positioning. Over time, the Creta range had expanded with multiple overlapping trims and feature combinations, which could sometimes make the buying decision slightly confusing for customers. With this revision, Hyundai seems to be focusing on a cleaner and more straightforward variant structure.
Prices now range from Rs 10.79 lakh to Rs 19.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The S petrol and diesel manual trims, E diesel manual and S(O) Knight Edition have been discontinued. The company has also removed all SX Tech and SX(O) variants, along with select special editions such as the King Limited 1.5 petrol CVT, King 1.5 Turbo DCT, King Limited 1.5 Turbo DCT and King Knight diesel automatic. The Hyundai Creta Summer Edition, which was introduced last month, continues to remain on sale in multiple variants.
Following the removal of the SX Tech trim, ADAS features on the Hyundai Creta are now limited to the range-topping King variant. As a result, buyers seeking advanced driver assistance technology will need to opt for a higher-priced version of the SUV. Talking about the powertrain, the Hyundai Creta is offered in three engine options - a 1.5-litre turbo petrol with 160hp of power and 260 Nm of torque. A 1.5-litre NA petrol engine with 115 PS of power and 144 Nm of torque. A 1.5-litre turbo diesel with 116 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. Gearbox options include a 6-speed MT, iMT, CVT(dubbed iVT) 6-speed AT and a 7-speed DCT.
Features-wise, the top-spec variant gets twin 10-25-inch screens for the instrument cluster and for the infotainment system. Other features include dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, steering-mounted controls, multi-colour ambient lighting, Bose sound system, powered driver’s seat, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, blue link connected car tech, voice commands, OTA updates, air purifier, auto headlights, rain-sensing wipers and much more. In terms of safety, the SUV gets six airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, traction control, a tyre pressure monitoring system and Level-2 ADAS features.
