Hyundai Alcazar vs Hyundai Creta: Price, variants compared
Hyundai Motor India recently launched the Hyundai Alcazar SUV in the Indian market. The new Alcazar is based on an updated Hyundai Creta and has similar styling, interior layout, features and much more. In this article, let’s compare the price, and variants of the new Alcazar with the Hyundai Creta.
First let’s talk about the Alcazar, the three-row SUV is offered in four variants, namely, Platinum, Signature, Prestige, and Executive. The bookings for the SUV are already underway, interested customers can book the SUV online or by visiting their nearest dealership and the booking amount is set at Rs 25,000.
The Executive is available in petrol and diesel manual variants with prices starting from Rs 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Prestige variant too is available in petrol and diesel manual variants with prices starting from Rs 17.18 lakh (ex-showroom). The platinum trim is offered in petrol and diesel engine options and both manual and automatic variants with prices starting from Rs 19.46 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-of-the-line Signature variant is priced from 21.2 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available in both petrol and diesel engine options and MT and automatic variants.
Now let’s talk about the Creta, the SUV is offered in seven variants, namely, E, EX, S, S(O), SX, SX Tech, and SX(O). The 1.5 NA petrol MT is available in all variants. The 1.5 NA petrol-CVT is available only on the S(O), SX Tech and SX(O) trims. The 1.5 turbo petrol with 7-speed DCT is available in the top-spec SX(O) variant. The diesel manual is also offered in all variants other than the SX, and the 6-speed torque converter automatic with 1.5-litre diesel is available only on the S(O) and SX(O) variants. The petrol variants of the Hyundai Creta is priced from Rs 11 lakh to 20.15 lakh (ex-showroom). The diesel variants are priced from Rs 12.6 lakh to Rs 20.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
In terms of design, the Alcazar facelift features H-shaped LED Daytime Running Lamps linked by a light bar and a larger grille with horizontal slats. It now includes quad-beam LED headlamps, replacing the trio-beam units from the previous model. Additionally, the pre-facelift Alcazar had separate grille designs for the petrol and diesel versions.
At the rear, the SUV features full-width tail lamps with an H motif. These new tail lamps, combined with redesigned bumpers, give the vehicle a more squared-off appearance than the previous model. Additionally, it sports a new design for the 18-inch alloy wheels and also gets functional roof rails. Customers can choose from eight exterior paint schemes, namely, Atlas White, Abyss Black Pearl, Ranger Khaki, Fiery Red, Robust Emerald Pearl, Starry Night, Titan Grey Matte, and Atlas White with Abyss Black roof.
