BMW has launched the much-anticipated BMW Z4 M40i in India at a starting price of Rs 89.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Come June, the open-top two-seater roadster will be available across the country as a Completely Built-Up Unit (CBU).

This car will get two-year warranty as standard and will be available in 7 colour schemes including the all-new Skyscraper Grey and Portimao Blue options.

BMW Z4 M40i: Powertrain

The new BMW Z4 M40i gets a 3.0-litre turbo petrol engine that belts out 340 hp and 500 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 8-speed automatic transmission. This luxed-up droptop clocks 0-100 kmph in just 4.5 seconds.

BMW Z4 M40i: Exterior

This open-top sports car features the contemporary BMW design language and gets a new grille featuring a horizontal inner structure and large air intakes. Further, it gets aligned LED headlamps on the flanks, L-shaped LED tail lamps, and a long bonet that stretches over the wheel arches. It also gets 19-inch M alloy wheels.

BMW has introduced a host of advanced-tech features in this roadster that include auto start-stop and brake-energy regeneration. It gets three driving modes namely - EcoPro, Comfort, and Sport.

Talking about safety, it comes equipped with front and side airbags, both for the driver and the passenger, ABS with brake assist, dynamic stability control, electronic vehicle immobilizer and crash sensors.

The new BMW Z4 roadster interior remains more or less the same but now features a modernized cockpit with connected features that come with the manufacturer’s operating system 7.0.

Further, it gets a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a high-resolution touchscreen display with features such as GPS with 3D maps, touch controller, Apple CarPlay besides driver assisting features such as parking and driving assistant function.
