BMW X3 30 XDrive M Sport Pro launch tomorrow: All about Mercedes-Benz GLC rival
BMW India is all set to launch the new BMW X3 30 XDrive M Sport SUV tomorrow, i.e., 16 February 2026. Pre-bookings for the SUV have begun, with customers able to place orders online or at authorised BMW dealerships. The model will be locally produced at BMW’s Chennai plant and is expected to offer improved performance over the existing variants, while competing with rivals such as the Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q5 and Volvo XC60.
The upcoming BMW X3 30 xDrive features updated exterior styling marked by sharper design elements and a more pronounced road presence. Key visual updates include an illuminated kidney grille, bigger 20-inch wheels, and the M Sport Professional package, which adds sportier design elements and additional features. The new BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro will also introduce a fresh Brooklyn Grey exterior shade, joining the existing Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Tanzanite Blue and Dune Grey colour options.
The SUV retains features offered on other X3 variants, including a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a head-up display, a 15-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, wireless phone charging, a panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate, powered and ventilated front seats with memory function and more.
On the safety front, the X3 is equipped with eight airbags, Attentiveness Assistance and Dynamic Stability Control, which incorporates Cornering Brake Control. Additional safety features include an electronic parking brake with auto hold, side-impact protection, an electronic immobiliser with crash sensor and child seat mounting provisions.
The BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 258hp and 400Nm of torque. The engine comes paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels. The engine also gets a 48V mild hybrid assist and is capable of a 0-100kph sprint in 6.3 seconds. It has a claimed fuel efficiency of 14.61kpl.
The new BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro will be the most powerful SUV sold in the Indian market. The current X3 range in India includes the 190hp xDrive 20 petrol and the 197hp xDrive 20d diesel. Both variants are sold with the M Sport package, while the upcoming 30 xDrive will also feature the M Sport Pro trim.
