BMW India has announced that the new BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro will be launched in the Indian market on February 16, 2026, with pre-bookings opening from January 30. Customers will be able to place their orders either online or at authorised BMW dealerships across the country. The SUV will be locally manufactured at BMW’s Chennai facility and is expected to deliver higher performance than the global-spec model currently on sale, while continuing to take on rivals such as the Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q5 and Volvo XC60.
Talking about the engine first, BMW has not yet disclosed engine specs for the India-bound X3 30 xDrive but it will feature an all-wheel-drive layout. The version sold overseas uses a 2-litre twin-turbo four-cylinder petrol engine delivering 255hp, paired with an eight-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox. The same powertrain is expected to be offered on the new BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro. In comparison, the current X3 range in India includes the 190hp xDrive 20 petrol and the 197hp xDrive 20d diesel. Both variants are sold with the M Sport package, while the upcoming 30 xDrive will feature the M Sport Pro trim.
