BMW Group India posts highest-ever car sales in ‘25, EVs cross 3.7k units: Details
BMW Group India has recorded its highest-ever annual car sales in calendar year 2025. The company sold a total of 18,001 cars during the year, marking a 14 percent year-on-year increase. Of this, BMW accounted for 17,271 units, while MINI contributed 730 units. The group also reported deliveries of 5,841 motorcycles under the BMW Motorrad brand.
The final quarter of the year proved to be the strongest, with BMW Group India clocking its best-ever Q4 performance. Between October and December 2025, the company sold 6,023 cars, registering a 17 percent growth compared to the same period last year.
Electric vehicles remained a major growth driver for the brand. BMW Group India sold 3,753 electric vehicles during the year, posting a sharp 200 percent growth over 2024. EVs accounted for 21 percent of the company’s total car sales, a significant jump from 8 percent last year.
Long wheelbase models also saw strong traction. Sales of BMW’s long wheelbase range grew by 162 percent year-on-year to 8,608 units. These models now contribute 50 percent of BMW’s total car sales, up from 29 percent last year. The BMW 3 Series remained the brand’s highest-selling premium sedan and also led its segment.
SUVs continued to form the backbone of BMW Group India’s sales performance. SUV deliveries rose by 22 percent to 10,748 units, accounting for 60 percent of total car sales. The BMW X1 was the highest-selling SUV for the company, followed by the BMW X5.
MINI India posted sales of 730 units in 2025, recording a 3 percent growth over the previous year. The MINI Cooper S was the brand’s top-selling model and saw a 47 percent increase in deliveries.
In the two-wheeler space, BMW Motorrad delivered 5,841 motorcycles in 2025. The BMW G 310 RR emerged as the highest-selling model, with deliveries growing by 24 percent. Demand for high-end imported motorcycles also increased, led by models such as the BMW S 1000 RR and the GS Adventure range.
