German luxury carmaker Audi has recorded a 17% growth in sales in India, delivering 1,223 units in the first quarter of 2025 compared to the same period last year. The company attributes this rise to a strong product portfolio and improved supply chain stability, marking a positive start to the year.
Audi India Head Balbir Singh Dhillon emphasized that the brand's growing customer confidence and a stable supply chain have been key factors behind this surge. "Having successfully navigated supply challenges in 2024, we are well-equipped to meet the increasing demand for luxury mobility in India," he said.

SUVs lead the charge
Models such as the Audi Q7 and Audi Q8 played a major role in driving Q1 growth, further strengthening Audi's presence in the Indian luxury segment. The momentum from 2024, when the brand crossed the milestone of 1 lakh cars on Indian roads, continues to reflect in its sales performance.
Audi’s pre-owned car business, ‘Audi Approved: plus’, also saw impressive growth, recording a 23% rise in Q1 2025 compared to the same period last year. This highlights the increasing demand for certified luxury used cars in India, with buyers opting for premium brands in the second-hand market.
