General Motors unveiled all-electric GMC Sierra Denali electric pickup truck in the US market. The Sierra Denali EV is the third all-electric truck from GM after the Hummer EV pickup and SUV.

The Sierra Denali EV is based on the same Ultium Platform as the Hummer EV and the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV. The Sierra EV will launch in early 2024 as a fully loaded Denali Edition 1 trim and will be available in limited numbers.


Talking about the all-electric pick-up truck, GM has not disclosed the battery capacity but claims that the truck can do over 600 kilometres in one full charge.

Talking about the charging, the Sierra EV will have an 800-volt architecture capable of fast charging up to 350 kilowatts. The electric truck also gets a 19.2 kW onboard AC charger for home.


The EV is powered by a dual-motor setup that puts out 754 hp of power and a massive 1063 Nm of torque. GM claims that the truck can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 4.5 seconds and can tow 9500 pounds.

The GM Sierra EV will also come with an onboard power station and GM claims that it can feature with up to 10.2 kW of power that turns the truck into a mobile power source for a variety of situations.

The company also claims that the electric pickup can power a home’s “necessities” for 21 days when configured with a bi-directional charger.

Talking about the features, the Sierra EV have four-wheel steering and “crab walk” as seen in the Hummer EV. The all-electric truck also gets a massive 16.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system powered by Google’s Android Automotive operating system, an 11-inch digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, 14-camera all around, Hands-Free Start and the Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance technology.
