Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) is set to launch the new-gen Verna in India on March 21, and ahead of its global debut, the carmaker has released a new teaser video revealing the cabin as well as the rear-end design of the sedan. The teaser video starts by showing off the new Verna's full-width LED tail lights as well as the front full-width LED DRL setup, then moves to the interior of the car, revealing the new steering wheel and the fully digital instrument cluster as well.

The steering wheel design looks brand new, unlike seen on any other Hyundai so far, but it does get the usual controls for switching infotainment system modes, Bluetooth, volume and more. The steering wheel also gets paddle shifters, and going by the fact that the model teased here gets the new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine (160 PS/253 Nm), the gearbox is a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT) unit, in all likelihood.

What's more, the teaser video also reveals the new-gen Hyundai Verna's free-standing dual-screen system that houses both the touchscreen infotainment system, as well as the fully digital instrument cluster. Moreover, it is also confirmed that the 2023 Verna will get three drive modes, namely Eco, Normal and Sport. Apart from all the goodies and feel-good features, the sedan is also expected to be offered with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for the first time.

The sedan will measure 4535 mm in length, 1765 mm in width (highest in segment) and stand 1475 mm tall. Moreover, the new-gen sedan will have the longest wheelbase in the segment, i.e. 2670 mm long - 70 mm longer than the outgoing model.
