TVS Motor Company today announced that its ever-popular TVS Apache series of motorcycles has clocked a global sales milestone of 50 lakh units. The Indian company has a presence in over 60 countries and the Apache range has found much popularity across these since its launch in 2005. The Apache series picks design, performance and technology inspiration from TVS Racing – the factory racing team of TVS Motor Company.
TVS states that the Apache series is built and developed around its 'Track To Road' philosophy. It has been upgraded with several features, including Race-Tuned Fuel Injection (RT-Fi), ride modes, Dual Channel ABS, Race Tuned Slipper Clutch, SmartXonnect, amongst others.
The latest motorcycle to join the Apache series soon will be the Apache RTR 310, the streetfighter version of the fully-faired sports bike Apache RR 310.
“TVS Apache has come a long way from just a motorcycle to an entire premium experience which is evident from our wide range of products and initiatives surrounding it including merchandise, rapidly growing Apache Owners Group (AOG), Apache Racing Experience (ARE), Apache Pro Performance (APP), TVS One Make Championship and marquee rides,” Vimal Sumbly, Head Business - Premium, TVS Motor Company, said.
TVS Apache series offers motorcycles under two brands - RR and RTR. The RTR (Racing Throttle Response) series currently comprises the TVS Apache RTR 160, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, TVS Apache RTR 180, and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. The TVS Apache RR 310 was launched under RR (Race Replica) brand in 2017. Additionally, the BTO (Built-To-Order) platform for the TVS Apache RR 310 was introduced in 2021.
