Suzuki Access 125 vs Honda Activa 125: Price, specs & more compared
The 125cc scooter space in India remains one of the most competitive two-wheeler segments. The Suzuki Access 125 and the Honda Activa 125 also compete in the segment among several other popular nameplates. Suzuki recently launched an updated version of the Access 125 and here’s a quick look at how it stacks up against the Activa 125 in terms of pricing, features, and more.
The Access 125 houses a 124cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder petrol engine. It produces 8.4 hp and 10.2 Nm of torque. The Honda Activa 125, on the other hand, is powered by a 123.9cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that develops similar power at 8.4 hp, but slightly higher torque at 10.5 Nm.
Suzuki Access 125 gets a 4.2-inch TFT digital display with smartphone connectivity via its Ride Connect tech. Besides, the model gets all LED lighting, a USB port, and the newly-launched version has also added a single-channel ABS. This makes it the first scooter in 125cc range to get a single-channel ABS.
Besides, Honda Activa gets Honda’s H-Smart key system, which offers functions like Smart Unlock, Smart Start and Smart Find. It also gets a 4.2-inch TFT digital display with Bluetooth connectivity via the Honda RoadSync app, enabling features such as navigation along with call and SMS alerts. The Activa also gets full LED lighting.
Pricing is one area where the two scooters differ noticeably. The Suzuki Access 125 undercuts its rival at the entry level, with ex-showroom prices in Delhi starting at around Rs 78,184. The range goes up to approximately Rs 98,378 for the fully loaded Ride Connect TFT ABS variant.
The Honda Activa 125 is positioned slightly higher, with prices generally starting at about Rs 89,652 and going up to Rs 94,096, depending on the variant. This means the Access 125 offers a more affordable starting point, though the gap narrows at the top end.
