Quote of the day from Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra: "The Divine Link Between Lord Vishnu and the Nine Planets"
Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra was composed by Maharishi Parashara. This is a mysterious astrological text. This was written in the form of Sanskrit shlokas. Parashara was the father of Vyasa, who is credited with compiling and writing the Vedas and he was the renowned composer of the Mahabharata, Srimad Bhagavatam, and Bhagavad Gita. In the Parashara Hora Shastra, it is clearly written that Lord Vishnu has a deep connection with Grahas so we will understand why Maharishi Parashara said so.
According to Brihat Hora Shastra, it is stated that nine planets are associated with Lord Vishnu. He is the one who is the ruler of dharma, time, and karma and he does that through planets. You can easily understand that through this shloka which is mentioned in the hora shastra -
"Ramavatrah Suryasya, chadrasya Yadunayakaha, Narsimha Bhumi Putrasya Buddhah Somsutasyaha Ch, Vamano Vibhdhejyasye Bhargavo Bhargavasyaye Ch, Kurmo Bhaskar Putrasyaye Sehikeyasyaye Sukarah, Keturminavatarash Ch, Ye chanye teapi Khetjaha, Paratmamshoadhiko, Yeshu te Sarve Khechramidhaha"..!!
According to Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, each planet resonates with Lord Vishnu. The nature of each planet is different and each planet gives you reward and punishment according to your karma under the guidance of Lord Vishnu. Here are the following nine forms of Lord Vishnu and their planetary connection:
1. Sun (Lord Surya) - Lord Rama
2. Moon (Chandrama) - Lord Krishna
3. Mars (Mangal) - Lord Narasimha
4. Jupiter (Guru Brihaspati) - Lord Vamana
5. Mercury (Budh) - Lord Buddha
