Quote of the day by Varahamihira: "He Who Knows Astrology Knows the Order of Time"
In the first part of the sixth century, Varahamihira, an Indian mathematician, was born. Varahamihira lived in Ujjain and was one of Chandragupta II's nine gems (Navaratnas). He wrote the Panchasiddhantaka, a collection of five astronomical treatises. Varahamihira made the calculation of Aryabhata's sine tables more accurate. His father, Adityadisha, who worshipped the Sun god, taught him astrology. Varahamihira, also called Varaha or Mihira, was an Indian philosopher, astronomer, and mathematician, who compiled Greek, Egyptian, Roman, and Indian astronomy in the Pancha-siddhantika (Five Treatises). Varahamihira was the only prominent Indian mathematician, astronomer, and astrologer whose name became well-known in India.
Varahamihira was a well-known Indian mathematician, astronomer, and astrologer in the sixth century who believed that astrology is not just a tool for making predictions about someone's life but its a science of time also. This quote "He Who Knows Astrology Knows the Order of Time", means that time is not a random thing but this is governed by the nine planets present in the universe. This is a cycle and rhythm of nature.
According to the Vedic astrology, Kaal is known as time that plays an important role and holds a powerful place in making predictions about someone's growth, success, failure and sorrow because here Varahmihira explains the importance of time or kala. He emphasized that astrology is all about studying the time through planets and nakshatras.
Varahmihira believed that life's events don't happen naturally or randomly. He meant that whatever happens in life that all are pre-decided by the planets and nakshatras and according to the time you take birth. According to him, everything is happening under cosmic order such as Sun becomes Uttarayan and Dakshinayan and the eclipses take place during the particular time period.
Varahmihira believed that Human beings work according to the cosmic cycle. For an example, when the child is born then he grows according to the time, becomes youth and mature at a certain age so everything is happening according to the cosmic cycle. Astrology is just a medium that helps people to align with the cycle. There's always a time to act, react, wait and there's also a time when you have to be patient.
