RAIPUR:
Bharatiya Janata Party's newly elected legislature party leader
Raman Singh will take oath as chief minister at the police ground here on Thursday.
Singh has steered the BJP to a record third victory in the assembly elections and has been unanimously elected leader of the 49-member BJP legislature party. In 2003 and 2008 polls, Singh had led the party to victory and has been chief minister for the last one decade.
In 2008 December too, Raman Singh had taken oath of office of chief minister on the same day at the same venue. Singh had earlier indicated that he would take oath alone and his council of ministers would be decided later in consultation with the party high command.
BJP president
Rajnath Singh and other senior party leaders are expected to attend the swearing in ceremony at 11am.
