Pakistani band Laal recently treated music lovers to a healthy dose of music with a Leftist twist at an auditorium in the city, with lead vocalist and activist Taimur Rahman belting out one heartwarming number after another.
The enigmatic singer, who was in town on a twoday tour with his team to share his thoughts and music with the youth, rendered songs like Haq kabhi reheta nahi rehere naquab, Utho meri duniya and Jhooth ka uncha sar. His wife Mahavash Wakar, who is also a part of the band, crooned Malala give me hope.
Earlier, Taimur and Indian musician and activist Susmit Bose spoke of their experiences with the contemporary human rights movements in India and in Pakistan. Eminent academicians and activists from Bengal were also present at the do to interact with the audience.
