Features we want to see in dating apps
These days, people seem to prefer using technology for just about everything, including dating. Blame it on busy schedules or anything else, but
With the number of users making use of dating apps increasing by the day, we decided to use one ourselves and see what other features (except for the ones that they already offer) we would want in them.
Date ideas
Just making it easier to find a person to go on a date with isn’t enough. For a perfect date, an idea for the same also needs to be there. We feel that Tinder and other dating apps like
Truecaller like spam list
Yes. Tinder needs to notify us when we get a request by someone who seems annoying enough to fall under the spam category. To get this working, we should be able to mark an annoying user’s profile as spam. Further, when someone who has been marked as spam by a number of people adds us on the app, it should serve a notification just as Tinder does.
Option to undo swipes
Tinder and other apps that have the swipe feature need to realize that it’s pretty easy for anyone to swipe accidently. This can mean a right swipe to the wrong person or a left swipe to the correct match. And we can’t even decide which one could be worse. But we would absolutely love Tinder (and other apps) to include the functionality of undoing accidental swipes.
Snapchat like best friends feature
Remember the initial days of Snapchat? One could see who were the top three people he/she was talking to. While it may land a lot of people into trouble, dating apps should really work towards including this feature. The top three contacts one is talking to should be visible easily.
Ability to find people based on similar interests
On Facebook, we can check someone’s profile till we know everything from their reading habits to the food they like to eat (based on the profile’s visibility settings, of course). We feel that dating apps should enable us to find like-minded people on the basis of our interests. Almost everyone prefers to go on a date with someone with whom they share some common interests. We wouldn’t want to go on a first date to find out that we are as different from the other person as cheese is from chalk. To avoid these situations, Tinder needs the ability to allow users to check others’ interests on Facebook.
dating apps
are here to stay. And whileTinder
remains the most popular dating app out there, there are quite a few similar apps available on bothiOS

TrulyMadly
should really incorporate this feature in their services, as it will be quite appreciated by those who hate to plan their outings themselves. Even better, they can tie-up with apps likeInstabounce
to let users see what events are happening around them and also book tickets for them to avoid queues.Truecaller like spam list
