Anubhav to compete with Madhur?

After trying his hands on action flicks Anubhav Sinha wants to make a political film.
Anubhav to compete with Madhur?
‘Right now I am too insignificant to provide competition to anybody’, says Anubhav.
Ask him what he plans to do next and Anubhav Sinha surprises you with his answer. “I’ll do one more action film, but after that I don’t think I will be doing an action film for a long time.”If not action, then what else, we enquire. “I am a very politically aware and conscious person — and when I say that I don’t mean BJP and Congress politics, I mean social politics, personal politics, economic politics even.

That fascinates me a lot and I plan to dabble in that.”
So he’s going to compete with Madhur Bhandarkar? “Madhur doesn’t specialise in political films,” laughs Anubhav. “He did only one political film and that didn’t do well. So I think political films don’t do well, social films do. I am not competing with anybody, I am competing with myself to see what I can deliver. Once I prove myself, once the world thinks I can deliver, then I can compete with others. Right now I am too insignificant to provide competition to anybody. Madhur is a star, I can’t be compared to him. Make Madhur and Anubhav stand in a crowd and nobody will know who Anubhav is, but 90 per cent of them will know who Madhur Bhandarkar is.”
Meanwhile, even as the much talked about Cash readies for release, director Anubhav Sinha is all set to make a big budget film with three new boys soon. “Yes, I’m doing a five million dollar action film with three new boys. This will be shot entirely in Rome. There’ll be a lead actress and a lead negative from Europe. The entire technical team will be from Europe too,” informs Anubhav.
Ask him about the three youngsters he has zeroed in on and all he says is, “We’ll unveil them when the time is right. Basically, they’re good-looking, stylish people. Good actors who are good at action. With Anubhav known for his stylish films, we didn’t expect anything less. But when any established actor would be more than willing to sign up with him, why did he finalise newcomers?
“It’s just a matter of taking up a challenge. Had I done another film with a lot of stars in it, I as a director would not have much of a challenge,” says Anubhav. “But the excitement of making a successful film with newcomers is what attracted me to the project. It’s like coming a full circle. I started off with newcomers in Tum Bin and after this I am going to change gears thematically into the kind of films I will make. This will probably be the last in the trilogy of action films.”
The film will apparently be titled Chase, and will also have a girl along with the three boys, and will go on the floors sometime in October this year.
