Paul Rupesh’s thriller Hide Me debuts at American Film Market
Acclaimed filmmaker Paul Rupesh, known for his dark and provocative narratives, unveiled the first trailer of his upcoming supernatural psychological thriller, Hide Me Within Your Wounds, at the American Film Market (AFM) in Las Vegas. Produced by Blest Films, this marks Rupesh’s fourth international feature following notable titles such as Saint Dracula 3D and The Secret Diaries of Mona Lisa.
Set against the haunting backdrop of a remote Afghan convent attacked on the night of the U.S. military withdrawal, Hide Me Within Your Wounds delves into themes of faith, survival, and vengeance. The film, featuring an international cast and crew, brings a fresh perspective to horror, combining human and supernatural threats in a setting full of tension and intrigue.
With horror’s recent resurgence, fuelled by the success of independent films like Longlegs and Terrifier 3, Hide Me has captured significant interest among AFM buyers. “We’re prioritising a North American distribution deal and expect the European Film Market in Berlin and Cannes to handle the rest,” said a spokesperson from Blest Films.
In addition, Blest Films is pre-selling Rupesh’s next Hollywood venture, Hindu Jesus, a film exploring the “lost years” of Jesus Christ—an era some historians suggest was spent in India.
Anticipated for a world market premiere at the Berlin Film Festival’s EFM, Hide Me is already generating buzz as one of the year’s most awaited horror titles.
