Priyamvada Kant talks about quitting her show Tenali Rama

Actress Priyamvada Kant, who plays the role of Shardha on the historical comedy-drama show Tenali Rama, is all set to quit her show. Talking to Bombay Times, she said: “Yes, I am quitting the show. I am obviously upset, as I have been a part of 'Tenali Rama' since its inception (July 2017), and am quite attached to the project and its team. Shows with such clean and interesting concepts don’t get made every day. I didn't want to leave it, but I had no option. I am not even thinking about marriage in real life; I know that I won’t look convincing as a mom on screen.” It seems as the makers of the show have come up with the idea of introducing time leap in the show. Nia Sharma

TV show 'Jamai Raja' is going in for a 20-year leap. And with this, it will bid adieu to its most pivotal character, Roshni (played by Nia Sharma). Meanwhile, Ravi Dubey, the male lead, will play his own son post the leap. Nia's decision to leave the show was her very own. She said, "There is no animosity between the production house and me. I decided to quit the moment I heard about the leap without wanting to know about the future track. I don't know what was in store for me, but I certainly didn't want to age. I have been associated with the show right from its inception and feel it's about time I moved on. I now want to take up a female-centric show."
